What should a buyer compare?

Is slurry ice always more energy efficient?
Do not assume a universal saving. Compare measured electricity use for a defined useful duty, including pumps, storage and auxiliaries. Use the same product load, inlet conditions and target temperature for both alternatives.
Can I compare two tonnes-per-day ratings directly?
Only when both figures describe the same quantity and conditions. A slurry figure may include the carrier water. Ask each supplier to specify ice fraction, water temperature, ambient conditions and whether the figure measures solid ice, total slurry mass or volume.
Which is better for a fishing vessel?
The answer depends on catch handling, available space, power, water and crew workflow. Compare the complete arrangement, then review the onboard project checklist.
How should a trial be planned?
Use comparable product batches and record the incoming condition, loading, temperatures, duration, energy and handling steps. Define acceptance criteria with the operations and quality teams before the trial.
