IFAT Munich: Specify Pipeline Cleaning Equipment

IFAT Munich provides a water and environmental technology context for assessing pipeline cleaning equipment. For an ice slurry project, buyers need to define the pipe circuit, deposits, operating limits and acceptance method before selecting generation and pumping equipment. GTMICE supplies generators and configured cleaning systems, including containerized packages for customer-provided vehicles; site cleaning operations are a separate responsibility.

IFAT Munich ran on 4–7 May 2026 at Messe München. The four-day event’s final report highlighted pipeline and water-system resilience, alongside the exhibition’s wider environmental technology programme. For cleaning equipment buyers, the practical questions concern the individual circuit, the operating procedure and the evidence needed before return to service.

What must be agreed before a mobile system is quoted?

  • Circuit geometry: Provide pipe material, internal diameter, length, bends, valves and access points. Include condition information and the deposits the operation is intended to remove.
  • Slurry and pumping duty: Define liquid compatibility, useful volume, production time and permitted pressure. Discuss storage, mixing, pumping and controls as an integrated arrangement.
  • Mobile boundary: Request container dimensions, project-specific working weight and connection details. Vehicle suitability, securing arrangements and site logistics require review with the buyer’s responsible teams.
  • Measured acceptance: Agree inspection, sampling, deposit collection and return-to-service requirements. Record the actual trial conditions rather than relying on a general before-and-after description.

The purchasing decision should distinguish equipment capability from the operating contractor’s method and responsibilities. Site access, isolation, waste handling and acceptance need named owners. Commissioning or training can be included only as defined in the quotation; it should not be implied by a photograph of a mobile package.

Buyer questions

Does GTMICE offer the on-site cleaning service?

The confirmed offer is equipment supply; the buyer and operating partners organize site cleaning.

Is the transport vehicle included?

The confirmed containerized system offer uses a customer-provided vehicle.

Does deposit removal prove disinfection?

No. Cleaning and any required disinfection or water-quality acceptance need their own evidence and procedure.

What information should a contractor send first?

The circuit layout, deposits, operating limits, site utilities and required supply scope.

Review the generator and containerized formats, then send Roy the pipe brief and proposed acceptance requirements.
